The organization was founded as a grassroots, constituent-led organization that has primarily operated through the volunteer hours of members, mentors, and a working board. We have reached a pivotal moment in our development where the board is transitioning from a “working board” into a “governance board” to improve the sustainability and impact of the organization.
We are seeking a diverse Board of people who possess different strengths and knowledge. Ideally a potential board member would be committed to youth engagement and have influence and/or come from the business, faith-based, financial, human rights, legal, personnel, youth development and/or mental health communities. YIM values those personally affected by mental health.
We convene as a Board once a month for 2-hours via web-conference call and quarterly, in-person.
